Saturday Magic
Saturn, Capricorn, Aquarius, and the Current of Shadow and Stone
“Saturn is the wall and the wrecking ball. Build with it wisely, or be crushed by its weight.”
The Tone of Saturday
Saturday belongs to Saturn, flavored by Capricorn and Aquarius. This day is about endings, limits, and structure. It carries the currents of death, banishment, chaos, discord, and raw primal energy. But it also embodies the stern parent who forces you to get your shit together, who pushes you past procrastination and into action.
This is not a day for half-measures. If you start work on Saturday and slack off, Saturn will smack you upside your head. Things unravel fast when you treat this current carelessly. But if you align with it — if you show discipline, focus, and commitment, Saturday’s magic sticks. It makes things last.
This is the day for banishing, binding, necromancy, curses, land fertility, protection, and raw wisdom. It’s the day of destruction before creation, of pruning before growth. Saturn asks you to strip away the rot so something stronger can take root.
Colors for Saturday: black, deep purple, other dark, rich tones.
Crystals: black obsidian, hematite. (Obsidian cuts to the truth with no bullshit. Hematite grounds and shields.)
Love & Relationships
Saturday love work is not tender. It’s raw, primal, animalistic.
Work for:
Ending toxic attachments — sending lingering exes packing.
Banishing obsessive or unhealthy love.
Exploring the kinkier, more primal side of your sexuality.
Where Friday’s Venus energy is roses and wine, Saturday’s Saturn energy is leather and chains. Don’t confuse them.
Wealth & Abundance
Jupiter builds wealth; Saturn clears debt. On Saturday, focus on subtraction before addition.
Work for:
Banishing financial blockages.
Cutting away debt.
Breaking habits that drain money.
Tip: Write your debt total on black paper. Burn it on Saturday while chanting, “I cut this cord, I burn this chain. What drains me, Saturn restrains.” Follow up by taking concrete financial action (budgeting, canceling subscriptions, etc.). Saturn rewards discipline.
Protection
Saturn’s protection is intimidating, heavy, and fearsome. It doesn’t just block, it terrifies.
Work for:
Instilling fear in enemies so they back off.
Channeling death energy as a shield.
Using primal imagery to unsettle those who might cross you.
Creative project: Enchant a music box on Saturday with Saturn’s current. Infuse it with protective energy. Each time you open the box, its sound releases that shield, scattering negativity and unsettling those who’d do you harm.
Healing
Saturday’s healing isn’t gentle. It’s about discipline, pruning, and confronting the shadow.
Work for:
Healing procrastination and unhealthy habits.
Supporting weight loss, exercise, or healthy eating.
Healing heartbreak, betrayal, or stalker trauma.
Destroying diseases before they take root.
Practice: Create a poppet for yourself or your client. Fill it with herbs, stones, and symbols of discipline and health. Infuse it with Saturn’s current to heal addictions or compulsions, strengthening resolve and restoring control.
Malediction / Baneful Work
Saturday is baneful paradise. If you need to bind, banish, confuse, or dominate, this is the day.
Work for:
Binding aggressors (when absolutely necessary).
Banishing dangerous assholes.
Confusion and mind-fuck magic.
Long-lasting curses that stick.
Baneful example: A confusion jar. Fill a jar with nails, broken glass, vinegar, red pepper, and a photo of your target. Shake it on Saturday while chanting, “Your path is clouded, your thoughts unravel, your life confuses and collapses.” Leave it sealed and buried far from your home.
Witchlings
Saturday is a great day to help kids process deep or overwhelming emotions. Channel Saturn’s current into creative banishment.
Project idea:
Give your kids modeling clay. (you’ll want some that is safe to bury or you can just get a pot and bury it in a pot with soil mixed in from your little out in nature field trip, a crossroads, get creative)
Have them pour frustrations, hurts, or school challenges into the clay and shape it into figures.
Take a field trip to bury those creations in the earth together.
As you bury them, chant:
“I send to you, Mother Earth,
That which hurts me, that which troubles me,
That which brings me frustrations.
Neutralize this, make me stronger,
Help me become more than this.”
Bury it. Walk away. Then do something fun together. Saturn teaches responsibility, but it also teaches release.
Saturn’s Banishing Breath
If something clings to you, a bad mood, a lingering fear, a toxic tie, try this quick working:
Stand facing west at sunset on Saturday.
Inhale deeply, then exhale hard while imagining the unwanted energy blasting out of your body.
Say: “By Saturn’s stone, I release. By Saturn’s crown, I am free.”
Repeat three times.
Saturday belongs to Saturn, and Saturn doesn’t tolerate laziness, weakness, or lies. It’s the day of pruning, banishing, binding, and binding again. It’s the day of necromancy, shadow work, primal sex, and ancestral wisdom.
Ignore this current and you’ll feel the smack of procrastination turned sour. Align with it, and you’ll harness one of the most potent, uncompromising forces in the witch’s arsenal.
Because Saturn doesn’t just end things, Saturn makes them stick.
