Psychic Witch I: Awakening the Inner Current

If you want to trust your vibes, you must absolutely ‘get’ that you have a psychic sixth sense that picks them up. It’s normal to be a spiritual being guided by the Universe. Stop doubting when your intuition speaks to you, stop ignoring your sixth sense when you feel it, and start accepting and appreciating your vibes when they do activate.

What Is Psychic Awareness?

Psychic awareness is the ability to perceive energy, spirit, and information beyond the five senses. It is the “sixth sense,” though in truth it is not one extra sense but a spectrum of ways to perceive what most ignore.

Think of it like a telephone. When you attune psychically, you are picking up a receiver and dialing into currents that are already moving around you. Some signals are faint whispers, some are thunder. The Witch learns to distinguish between static, imagination, and genuine connection.

This isn’t about playing fortune-teller. It’s about living awake to the hidden currents that weave through everything.

The Witch and the Psychic Are One

Too often, people split “psychic” from “witch” as if they were separate identities. But the truth is this: every witch is psychic, and every psychic current is part of witchcraft.

Witches work with spirits, omens, dreams, energy, and intuition. How can you claim the Craft without the ability to perceive these? A Witch without psychic awareness is like a musician who refuses to hear — possible, but hollow.

Yes, there are professional psychics who don’t identify as witches, and witches who shy away from the word psychic. But the current is the same. If you are to be a Witch, you must reclaim your psychic awareness as your birthright.

Why Awakening Matters

If you cannot feel energy, how will you raise it?
If you cannot sense spirits, how will you serve them?
If you cannot read omens, how will you know if your spell succeeded?

Psychic development is not optional. It is the foundation of the Craft. Spells, curses, healings, protections, all depend on your ability to perceive subtle shifts. Without it, you are guessing.

The Lie of Dormancy

Here’s the truth: psychic awareness is never gone. It is always there, even if you’ve ignored it for years. Most of us were trained, from childhood, to dismiss it:

  • Imaginary friends? Make-believe.

  • A sense of dread before the phone rang? Coincidence.

  • Knowing the mood of a room the moment you walk in? Overreacting.

Piece by piece, we were told to mute ourselves. But awareness never dies. It waits. And the Witch is the one who chooses to wake it up again.

The Responsibility of Awakening

Before you leap in, a warning.

Psychic work opens you up. Once you cross that threshold, you cannot return to ignorance. You will notice more. You will feel more. You will sense currents that most people never acknowledge.

This can be overwhelming. It can be disruptive. And it carries responsibility.

Nietzsche warned: “When you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you.” Psychic awakening is like that. What you gaze upon will gaze back. What you open to will take notice.

This is not to frighten you away. It is to prepare you. Awakening must be met with discernment, grounding, shielding, and respect.

Signs of Awakening

How do you know your inner current is stirring?

  • A sudden rush of déjà vu.

  • Tingling skin before someone calls your name.

  • Dreams that bleed into waking.

  • A heaviness in a room before bad news arrives.

  • Feeling watched, even when no one is there.

These are not random. They are signals. The Witch learns to recognize them, strengthen them, and weave them into the work.

A Simple Exercise: The Energy Ball

Let’s begin with the most basic practice.

  1. Sit comfortably. Place your hands on your lap, palms facing each other, six inches apart.

  2. Breathe slowly. Relax your body.

  3. Imagine energy flowing from your crown down through your arms, pooling between your palms.

  4. Move your hands toward each other, then apart. Notice the sensations: heat, tingling, pressure, resistance.

That is energy. That is you, perceiving your current directly. Practice this daily. Over time, the sensation will become stronger, more distinct.

Discernment: The Witch’s Shield

One of the hardest lessons in psychic work is learning what to do with what you perceive.

  • Not every “hit” needs to be spoken aloud.

  • Not every vision is meant to be shared.

  • Not every sense is truth — sometimes it is fear, ego, or imagination.

Discernment is the difference between a witch and a fraud. Keep a journal. Test yourself. When you sense something, write it down. See how it unfolds. Over weeks and months, you’ll learn your own psychic language.

The Cost of Ignoring

What happens if you don’t awaken?

The energy doesn’t disappear. It builds. Unacknowledged psychic power can erupt like a pressure cooker, what some traditions call poltergeist phenomena. Emotional outbursts, chaotic accidents, shadow figures: all symptoms of repressed psychic current.

The Witch doesn’t deny. The Witch directs.

Ignoring your skills/gifts doesn’t protect you. It weakens you.

The Witch’s Choice

Awakening the inner current is not glamorous. It won’t always be dramatic visions or cinematic revelations. It will be patience, practice, persistence.

But with each exercise, each journal entry, each moment of noticing, you grow sharper. You become more awake. And once awake, you cannot go back to sleep.

So here is the choice, Witch:

Stay numbed, lulled by the world’s lies that tell you your awareness is nothing.

Or awaken, and feel the current humming through everything.

The next lesson will take you deeper, into the senses beyond the five, the “clairs” through which witches perceive.

Awakening is only the beginning.
