Monday Magic

The Moon, Cancer, and the Current of Intuition

“The Moon does not shout; She pulls. She does not blind; She reveals what is hidden when you finally dare to look.”

The Tone of Monday

Monday is ruled by the Moon and flavored by Cancer. This is a day of tides, moods, intuition, and the unseen currents that run beneath everything. Softer than the blaze of Sunday, yes, but softer doesn’t mean weaker. The Moon’s current is fluid, shifting, and relentless.

On Mondays, everything sits closer to the skin. Emotions are sharper. Intuition is louder. Dreams turn vivid. This is the day of psychics, diviners, dreamers, healers, and those who walk with ancestors.

And maybe this is why people hate Mondays. Think about it: the Moon rules flux, and flux is uncomfortable. After a heavy weekend, most people drag into Monday sluggish, grumpy, introverted, and scattered. That’s lunar energy in action — messy tides pulling everyone back into rhythm. As witches, we don’t curse it; we work with it.

Self-care is key on Mondays. Nurture the feminine and mothering aspects the Moon embodies. Give yourself space for insight and internal work. This is the perfect day to sharpen your divination skills, tune into clairvoyance, and keep your mental health front and center.

But don’t be fooled: lunar current isn’t just gentle and maternal. It drags you deep — sometimes too deep. Mondays expose uncharted pockets of the psyche, dark pathways you didn’t know were there. Confusion, chaos, and shadow rise to the surface. That’s not failure. That’s the work.

This is a day to witch anything tied to:

  • Divination & clairvoyance

  • Mediumship & ancestor contact

  • Internal patterns & mental health

  • Truth-seeking & exposing lies

And yes, it’s a day for psychic warfare. If someone won’t stop tormenting you, turn the tide. Use Monday’s current to program their dreams with the fears they thought hidden. Let the Moon haunt them until they stop haunting you. Or cloak yourself in lunar shadow to hide from unwanted eyes. Conversely, you can use the same energy to drag someone out of hiding, leaving them vulnerable.

Colors for Monday: silver, white, silvery blue, pale blues.
Crystals for Monday: moonstone (always), mystical merlinite, pearl.

Love & Relationships

The Moon rules love that is deep, protective, and nurturing, but also moody and sometimes suffocating.

Work for:

  • Strengthening emotional bonds in family or partnerships.

  • Healing wounds in relationships — especially mother/child dynamics.

  • Drawing truth to the surface — lunar love exposes what’s hidden.

Quick working: Write your partner’s name on a slip of paper. Place it under a bowl of water with a moonstone inside. Whisper your wish for harmony, then let the water sit overnight. Dispose of it respectfully the next day.

Wealth & Abundance

Monday’s wealth current is fluid. Money flows like water, in, out, around. Use this day to:

  • Increase financial intuition — knowing when to save, spend, or risk.

  • Reveal hidden opportunities that aren’t obvious on paper.

  • Shift stagnant energy in your financial life.

Tip: Place a silver coin in a glass of water on Monday night, then in the morning, pour that water at your threshold while saying, “As water flows, so does abundance.” Keep the coin as a charm.

Protection

Lunar protection is subtle, reflective, and psychic. It doesn’t always fight, sometimes it simply filters.

Work for:

  • Psychic shielding against manipulation, projection, or unwanted influence.

  • Home protection — especially from emotional unrest, gossip, or psychic debris.

  • Night protection — safe dreams, safe sleep, guarding children at night.

Charm: Draw a crescent Moon on a white candle, anoint with mugwort oil, and burn it at the entrance of your home. Whisper: “All that would harm me is turned away by lunar light.”

Healing

The Moon governs fluids, cycles, and the subconscious. Healing on Monday focuses on balance and flow.

Work for:

  • Emotional healing — grief, heartbreak, depression.

  • Hormonal and menstrual cycles.

  • Sleep and dream regulation.

Simple practice: Sip chamomile or jasmine tea before bed on Monday. As you drink, visualize the Moon pouring calm silver light through your body, cooling stress and restoring flow.

Malediction / Baneful Work

Don’t think the Moon is all sweetness. She can drown, confuse, and haunt.

Monday baneful work includes:

  • Confusion spells — fogging an enemy’s judgment.

  • Nightmares and haunting dreams — planting seeds in their subconscious.

  • Emotional drain — amplifying instability or insecurity.

Baneful example: Write your target’s name on paper, place it in a jar of water with wormwood and vinegar, and set it under moonlight on Monday. Shake when you want their emotions unsettled. Dispose far from your home when finished.

Witchlings

For our baby witches! Literally, Kids. Not a grown ass adult who is calling themselves a fucking baby lol, Monday is one of the easiest days to practice.

Nurture their self-esteem and feelings, be gentle with them while they are doing their homework because they are trying to get back into the groove of school just like you are doing for work.

You can also work the following with them:

  • Keep a dream journal. Write down their dreams Monday morning. Patterns will emerge.

  • Practice moon water. Place a glass of water under the Moon overnight with your kiddos. Use it in tea, baths, or spellwork.

  • Simple divination. Pull a single tarot card under lunar light and write down their impressions.

Witchling tip: Don’t obsess over whether the sky is clear. Clouds don’t block the Moon’s current.

Safe Dreams Spell

If nightmares stalk you or your kids, try this Monday-night working:

  • Place a bowl of water by the bed.

  • Float a sprig of rosemary in it.

  • Whisper: “Moon guard this room, dreams be kind.”

In the morning, pour the water outside and thank the Moon.

Monday belongs to the Moon. If Sunday is about being seen, Monday is about what happens when the lights dim, when intuition, dreams, and feelings rise to the surface.

Ignore this current and you’ll drown in moods and distractions. Harness it, and you’ll ride the tides of intuition, divination, protection, and healing like a Witch who knows their craft.

Because under the Moon’s light, everything hidden eventually surfaces, and a Witch who knows how to work with it is never surprised.
